For those planning to stay over a month-long term apartment is a cheaper option.

Different strokes apartments have 24hr security and the only theft I encountered during my stay was from the monkeys because I left my door open. apart from that the rooms are generally safe but always be sure to lock your door and close your windows when you go out as prevention is better than cure. Should you decide to go outside the complex at night I would recommend ordering a taxi or tuk-tuk to pick you up from the apartments.

Different strokes apartments are set back about half a mile from the main road, there is no street lighting and at night I would highly recommend if you were planning to go out at night ordering a taxi or tuk-tuk to pick you up from the apartments and drop you back again.
