When it comes to nightclubs in Diani, the two main clubs are the Tandoori bar and the manyatta bar. Although they dont call themselves nightclus they have music and dancing until early hours of the morning. If its time to let your hair down and dance the night away to mainly traditional African club beats then the Tandoori bar restaurant is the place to be.
Diani beach tandoori bar and what you should know
As soon as you enter the Tandoori bar you are welcomed by a vibrant atmosphere of music and party people. A chilled al fresco front bar with pool tables or move inside for loud music and dancing spoiled for choice depending on your mood. All in all, a great venue.
Tandoori bar and restaurant is open during the day for food and beverages but generally comes alive around 11pm. The manyatta club tends to be the first stop for most people including locals, then moving to Tandoori bar for the later part of the evening and into the early hours of the morning.

Is Diani beach safe for tourists?
Diani beach has plenty to offer when it comes to bars clubs and restaurants and with its paradise beaches and wide choice of activities it is easy for the mind to go into relaxed mode, unfortunately like most poor countries you have your opportunists just watching and waiting for that moment. Always keep your personal belongings close to you and don’t take out anything valuable or important, leave it in the hotel safe.
When venturing out of your hotel or accommodation at night it is wise to take a taxi or at least a tuk tuk to and from bars, clubs, and restaurants. Although the government is now putting more effort into security such as street lighting there is still a few muggings and robberies in the area mainly at night. Stay safe and have a great holiday.
Is Tandoori bar Diani safe at night?
My advice on this matter and from my own experience, be nice to people, smile and be polite. BUT DO NOT TRUST ANYONE. Take minimum personal belongings with you and do not over dress with fancy jewellery and watches. Pickpockets are common, so leave anything of value in the hotel safe.
There is an app called m-pessa and safaricom this form of payment is accepted in most places, you may need to visit one of the big sores to add money to your account but this saves you carrying money around except for small change for tuk tuks or taxis.
You can have a fantastic night partying and drinking generally without any issues but be always vigilant and do not take strangers back to your hotel or apartment. Take public transport to and from club’s bars or restaurants and do not walk along unlit roads on your own, especially at night.
