Ingredients:

  • 1lb minced lamb
  • 1 bag oven bake french fries
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 2 cloves of fresh garlic chopped
  • 1 tube tomato puree
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp madras curry powder
  • 4 fresh birds eye chilies chopped
  • 6oz mature cheddar cheese grated
  • 2tbsp garlic mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp burger sauce (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Fry the onions in a medium saucepan until translucent then add fresh garlic
  3. add your minced lamb and cook until no longer pink
  4. add all your dry spices and tomato puree and fresh chilies
  5. Spread the frozen French fries out on a baking sheet in a single layer, making sure they don’t touch.
  6. Bake the French fries in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the French fries.
  8. Add the minced meat mixture
  9. and sprinkle another layer of cheese over the meat
  10. Return to the oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Remove the baking sheet and top with garlic mayo and burger sauce
  12. Serve the loaded cheesy chips hot.
