Here is a recipe for spicy loaded cheesy chips that serve four people:
Ingredients:
- 1lb minced lamb
- 1 bag oven bake french fries
- 1 onion sliced
- 2 cloves of fresh garlic chopped
- 1 tube tomato puree
- 1/2 tsp ground pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp madras curry powder
- 4 fresh birds eye chilies chopped
- 6oz mature cheddar cheese grated
- 2tbsp garlic mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp burger sauce (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Fry the onions in a medium saucepan until translucent then add fresh garlic
- add your minced lamb and cook until no longer pink
- add all your dry spices and tomato puree and fresh chilies
- Spread the frozen French fries out on a baking sheet in a single layer, making sure they don’t touch.
- Bake the French fries in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the French fries.
- Add the minced meat mixture
- and sprinkle another layer of cheese over the meat
- Return to the oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the baking sheet and top with garlic mayo and burger sauce
- Serve the loaded cheesy chips hot.
