When it comes to Croatian food, I was not quite sure what to expect, I have cooked many Different types of food from many different countries and Cultures (Including Europe). Croatia is in a league of its own, although there is a bit of a mixing pot here, they have managed to put their own style into it. The KAI restaurant is a fine example, their food is original and cooked with passion. Great chefs and great food.
In this video I visit KAI street food bar in Zagreb. An absolute culinary delight. Yes there are some that would say I had a glorified sandwich, but the pation and ingredients used to make it put it a cut above the rest and a league above your bog-standard sandwich and well worth going out of your way to visit.
When you see such commitment and enthusiasm coming from a chef, you know the food is going to be good. Kai street food bar in Zagreb is no exception. I was welcomed by chef mike the head chef and owner of kai and this video tells me a small history about KAI street food bar, how it started and future plans, he then cooked me some fantastic street food dishes that were well presented and tasted amazing.
